Dean Moore
|
Former director of the Harbor Area Club in Costa Mesa, Dean has been with the Boys & Girls Club movement for 19 years. He joined the Palm Springs Club in October, 2005 as the Chief Operating Officer. A graduate of Indiana University, Dean has a wife, LaVeda, two 17 year old sons, and one four year old son. Telephone: (760) 325-3160

Dagmar has been with the Boys & Girls Club since 1980 when she took a position as secretary to Ray Lockwood, the Club's first chief executive. Educated in Germany and Yugoslavia, she currently oversees operations at the Betty Hale Administrative Center. In her free time, Dagmar enjoys ballroom dancing. Telephone:

Heidi Gerling
|
Heidi was born in Running Springs, California and graduated from Rim of the World High school. She attended Pierce College and the University of Washington in Seattle. Heidi loves her family, her dogs, and the Seattle Mariners. |

Lupe has a background working for several school districts as an Instructional Aide and as a Youth Development Specialist. She grew up in the Imperial Valley, where she attended high school and college. An avid basketball enthusiast, Lupe has coached boys and girls teams at all levels and led her boys traveling team to the finals at the State Games of America in St. Louis. |

Robert works at Palm Springs High School as a Special Ed. teacher and conflict mediator. In addition to directing athletic activities at the Club, he is also involved in the Ultimate Journey program. Robert is currently working toward his teaching credentials at College of the Desert and plans to transfer to San Bernardino State University. He enjoys attending church and visiting friends, and loves working with children. |

Robert began his fascination with computers in the early 1980s as a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs. He went on to receive a B.S. degree in Physics from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. from UMass, Amherst in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He currently runs the computer education program at the Club and serves as its webmaster and IT guru. |
Lois
Bondurich

Lois grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Luzurn Community College with a degree in graphic arts. She has had dance training with Ballet Northeast and currently performs with the Desert Ballet Company. |
Consuelo
Ramirez
|
Consuelo was born and raised in Palm Springs. She graduated from Cathedral City High School and is currently attending College of the Desert. She has experience working as an instructional aide for the Palm Springs Unified School District. Consuelo has worked as Keystone advisor, leader of the Smart Girls program, and most recently as the interim director at the Mary Bremer Patrick Teen Center. "Working with kids is a very giving experience, which I why I joined the Boys & Girls Club team," she says. "As my mothers says, 'Find a job you love and you'll never work another day in your life!'" |
Karen Gevers

Born and raised in Colorado, Karen Gevers is the Education Director serving the teens at The Club. A career educator of children and adults, Karen holds a M.A. in Teaching and Learning from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. An avid reader and music lover, Karen also enjoys outdoor activities and traveling, especially to visit her two grown children who live in Seattle. |

One of ten children, Paul was raised in New England. He served four years in the Coast Guard, including a tour in Vietnam. He entered the teaching profession at age 34, working for the county of Riverside. He has taught retail marketing and small business management and also served as a mentor teacher for the county. Paul is married and has lived in the desert for 25 years. His hobbies are photography and writing. |
