ISS, STS-123, ATV40 viewsMultiple 8 second exposures of space shuttle Endeavour, the International Space Station, and the European Space Agency's Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV). All three passed over Palm Springs on March 25, 2008 within minutes of each other. The shuttle had just undocked from the ISS for return to Earth, while the ATV was waiting to dock. Bright streaks are made by the ISS, medium by the shuttle. The lower, darker streaks are made by the ATV. Some stars appear double because the exposures aren't perfectly aligned.
